Wolf scoops “Factory of the Year” title

Award for “Outstanding Assembly”

Wolf is among the winners in the “Factory of the Year 2011” competition. The company has received an award in the “Outstanding Assembly” category for its plant in Mainburg, Bavaria. The jury’s decision came as a fitting endorsement in particular of Wolf’s very flexible assembly processes and how they are implemented by the workforce. “Through continuous improvements to and ongoing reorganisation of workplaces, the Plant Manager has realised cost reductions of five percent annually,” remarked the jury. For Wolf, whose entire manufacturing operations are in Germany, the award suitably confirms its commitment to the Mainburg location. “Without the incredible commitment of our workers here at the plant, our successful business performance over the past few years would not have been possible,” remarked Bernhard Steppe, Wolf management spokesman. Wolf currently employs 1,130 people at the Mainburg production plant, including 84 apprentices. The “Factory of the Year” competition is staged by the trade publication “Produktion” and the management consultants A.T. Kearney.
